Your Questions Answered
I’ve just been arrested in Palm Beach County. What should I do first?
If you are arrested or under investigation, your absolute priority should be protecting your rights. Do not answer police questions, make a statement, or try to explain your side of the story without legal representation present.
Politely tell the officers, "I am exercising my right to remain silent and I want to speak to a criminal defense attorney near me." Your next step is to secure an experienced Palm Beach County criminal lawyer who can guide you through the booking process, protect your future, and handle all communications with law enforcement.

Mattie Fore
ATTORNEY
Ms. Fore has been practicing law since 2009. A graduate of the University of Maryland and the University of South Carolina School of Law, she began trying cases in law school and hasn’t stopped since. She honed her litigation skills for several years at the Palm Beach County Public Defender’s Office where she handled some of the most serious and complex criminal cases in that office. With dozens of jury trials and thousands of cases under her belt, she founded her own law firm in 2017 where she helps clients ranging from first time offenders to those facing the most severe of criminal penalties. No matter the severity of the alleged crime, she specializes in providing creative and individually tailored solutions to her clients’ legal problems.
